Christian Louboutin clearly has an appetite for litigation, as we saw in the long-running (and ever-diverting) battle of the red shoes with Yves Saint-Laurent, which resulted in only a partial victory for Louboutin: he can maintain his trade-mark in red-soled shoes but can't prevent another manufacturer from producing a shoe that is red all over.
The target of Louboutin's ire this time round is
Charles Jourdain Fashion Footwear LLC, a New York-based retailer,
which (with a number of John and Jane Doe defendants) has allegedly
been selling counterfeit Louboutins. The complaint filed in the
