Christian Louboutin clearly has an appetite for litigation, as we saw in the long-running (and ever-diverting) battle of the red shoes with Yves Saint-Laurent, which resulted in only a partial victory for Louboutin: he can maintain his trade-mark in red-soled shoes but can't prevent another manufacturer from producing a shoe that is red all over.

The target of Louboutin's ire this time round is Charles Jourdain Fashion Footwear LLC, a New York-based retailer, which (with a number of John and Jane Doe defendants) has allegedly been selling counterfeit Louboutins. The complaint filed in the southern district of New York is at the link (replete with shoe pics).
