The Ontario Ministry of Labour conducts various "inspection blitzes", which they advertise ahead of time, by sector. They have recently announced the upcoming inspection blitzes for the industrial sector, the health care sector and the construction sector. Industrial: May to August 2012 in regards to new and young worker initiatives, October to November 2012 with regards to machine guarding, MSD, workplace violence, etc. and February to March 2013 with regards to slips, trips and falls (ladder safety and fall protection hazards). Industrial Blitzes

Heath Care: May to August 2012 in regards to new and young worker initiatives, October to November 2012 with regards to infection, prevention and control and February to March 2013 with regards to workplace violence and harassment. Health Care Blitzes

Construction: May to August 2012 in regards to new and young worker initiatives, June 2012 with regards to hazards associated with traffic control during road work, July – August 2012 with regards to wasting hazards, September – October 2012 with regards to supervisory responsibilities, training and requirements and February - March 2013 with regards to slips, trips and falls (ladder safety and fall protection hazards).
