The Secretariat of Foreign Trade ("SECEX") has initiated a sunset review regarding antidumping duties applied on imports of flat-rolled non-oriented grain magnetic silicon electrical steel ("steel GNO") from China, South Korea and Taiwan (Mercosur Common Nomenclature - NCM 7225.19.00 and 7226.19.00), according to the SECEX Circular No. 27/2018, published July 16, 2018, in the Brazilian Official Gazette ("D.O.U.").

The domestic producer Aperam Inox America do Sul S.A requested the review. Any interested third party may request participation in the process within 20 days of the publication in the D.O.U. In addition, exporters, importers and domestic producers already identified by the authority will receive a questionnaire which must be answered within 30 days.

The antidumping duty on steel GNO, defined by the Chamber of Foreign Trade ("CAMEX") Resolution 49/213, as amended, will be in force until the end of the sunset review, which should occur within 10 months, extendible for a further 2 months.
