Felsberg e Associados has assisted UK-based sports marketing company 'Fast Track' establish itself in Brazil.

Brazil is increasingly becoming one of the world's most attractive markets for sports marketing and Felsberg e Associados is proud to announce that it is assisting the UK-based company Fast Track, as it prepares itself for an important period in both Brazilian and Global sports business.

Brazil has been thrown into the spotlight of global sports marketing thanks to its forthcoming role as host to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This has attracted the attention of overseas companies that are eager to enter this market in Brazil and one such company is UK-based 'Fast Track', a Chime Communications Plc subsidiary.

Fast Track is one of the UK's leading sports marketing agencies with teams providing expertise in consulting, communications, events and rights marketing. Its skill set, combined with over 12 years' experience, enables the company to work with a wide range of clients, from consumer brands to rights holders, helping unlock the power of sport to deliver genuine business benefits around the world.

Chime, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, is made up of four divisions, 50 agencies and over 1,200 people. As well as its UK headquarters and the newly established Brazilian base, it has offices in Spain, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, the US, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar, South Africa, Japan, Singapore and Australia.

Felsberg e Associados' Corporate and M&A Partner Neil Montgomery and Senior Associate Evy Cynthia Marques, have advised Fast Track on establishing a presence in the Brazilian sports marketing arena by forming its Brazilian subsidiary and assisting in the acquisition of a 60% stake in Rio de Janeiro-based sports marketing company Golden Goal, owned by Carlos Eduardo Caruso Ferreira and Mauro Silveira Corrêa, whose client portfolio includes the football clubs Flamengo and A.C. Milan.

Felsberg e Associados has long established media and entertainment and sports law practices and has been kept very busy as Brazil prepares for the above-mentioned sporting events.

Fast Track retained its usual transactional counsel, Philip Langford, a Partner at Goodman Derrick LLP, to advise on English legal matters and had Ian Graham, a Partner at Kingston Smith W1, conduct financial due diligence on Golden Goal.

Messrs. Ferreira and Corrêa were advised by Rio-based council Pedro Afonso Gutierrez Avvad, a Corporate Partner at Freitas Leite.
