Veirano Advogados has helped Latin
American-focused private equity company Southern Cross buy a
majority equity stake in São Paulo storage company
Tópico.
Motta, Fernandes Rocha - Advogados advised Tópico in the
sale, which closed on 29 January.
The deal saw Southern Cross buy a 70 per cent stake in the storage
company, 20 per cent of which was from one of the company's
owners, Ricardo Vantini, with the remaining 50 per cent divested by
the founding Nautika family, which now has no stake in the company.
The value of the acquisition was not made public, but Tópico
is valued at around US$280 million.
