Central Coast company fined after young workers overcome
by fumes
A company has been fined $45,000 after two young workers
were overcome by fumes. Minister for Better Regulation Matt Kean
said Central Coast Metal Protectives Pty Ltd was penalised in the
Sydney District Court for failing to protect the health and safety
of the two workers who were cleaning the inside of a landing
pontoon (19 July 2018).

Grader falls off low loader: Business Queensland
10 July 2018: Mines safety alert 355
A grader that was being driven onto a low loader was misaligned,
causing the left hand side rear wheel tandem to slip off the ramp.
During the attempt to correct the misalignment, the grader toppled
sideways off the low loader.
