Queensland Budget Health Highlights
Keeping Queenslanders healthy - The 2018-19 Budget
provides a record $17.3 billion in operating funding, as well as a
$985.5 million capital program, to continue to deliver first-class
health services to Queenslanders. This includes investments in our
public hospital and ambulance services and facilities, as well as
mental health, drug and alcohol services, community health
services, and research and scientific services. Beyond hospital
upgrades we are investing in people as we deliver on our election
commitment, adding 3,500 new nurses and midwives over four years.
