In Parliament Inquiry into GST

Public hearings in relation to the Senate Committee's Inquiry into the GST and A New Tax System commenced yesterday. Evidence was taken from officers of the Departments of Health and Aged Care and Family and Community Services. Hearings continue today and tomorrow in Canberra at which major organisations including Aged Care Australia, the Australian Private Hospitals Association, Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, Pharmacy Guild of Australia and National Rural Health Alliance will appear.
