YIT-yhtyma acquired Huber, a medium-sized industrial with a turnover of 230 million U.S. dollars for a price of 6.9 million U.S. dollars. The price reflects the fact that Huber is badly in debt. Huber and YITs' unit for industrial service will form a new subsidiary of YIT-Yhtyma, to be named YIT-Huber. It will be the market leader and the largest firm in Finland in installing pipe systems and maintenance of industrial processes.
The acquisition is estimated to increase YITs' turnover with around 200 million U.S. dollars, with the turnover rising to around 1 billion.
