On November 22, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a list of 97 quality and efficiency "Measures Under Consideration" (MUC) for use in Medicare's quality- and value-based purchasing programs. The MUC List includes measures for private clinician practices, hospitals, nursing homes and dialysis facilities.
The release of the MUC List was announced in a post on the CMS Blog. Public comments are being accepted through December 2 at the Measure Applications Partnership website of the National Quality Forum, a nonpartisan organization that "works to catalyze improvements in healthcare."
