USDA Announces Product Coverage And Trigger Levels For Safeguard Measures Provided In WTO Agreement On Agriculture

In the June 29, 2015, Federal Register, USDA
announced the updated quantity-based trigger levels for products
that may be subject to additional import duties under the safeguard
provisions of the WTO Agreement on Agriculture. This Agreement,
negotiated in the 1986–94 Uruguay Round, involved agreement
by member governments to improve market access and reduce
trade-distorting subsidies in agriculture. The notice also includes
the relevant period applicable for the trigger levels on each of
the listed products. The rule is
effective June 29,
2015.
