As discussed in our previous post, on July 21, 2014, President Obama signed Executive Order 13672, banning federal contractors from discriminating against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender ("LGBT") workers, and adding sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected categories included in Executive Order 11246.  Following the publication of the Final Rule implementing Executive Order 13672, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs ("OFCCP") received requests from government contractors seeking resources regarding how employers can effectively implement the obligations imposed by the Executive Order.

In response to these inquiries, OFCCP created a non-exhaustive directory of organizations and other entities that offer resources and guidance concerning issues related to creating an inclusive workplace for LGBT employees.  OFCCP's directory includes both public and private sector information, will be updated periodically, and highlights resources to assist contractors in training and educating managers and hiring personnel about the impact of these new protections.  The directory can be found here.
