Mark L. Silow and Clinton J. David were mentioned in the Dallas Business Journal article, "Dallas-Fort Worth Law Firm Merger Mania Abounds in 2014." Full text can be found in the December 29, 2014, issue, but a synopsis is below.

The Texas law market blossomed in 2014, especially in the Dallas area. A new trend picked up steam as out-of-state firms scrambled to get a hand in the Texas legal market.

Fox Rothschild entered the Texas market in October with the acquisition of 30-year-old Dallas firm David & Goodman, a modest 18-lawyer boutique.

Mark L. Silow, Fox Rothschild managing partner, said the firm has been looking for a few years to enter the Texas legal market and found the opportunity in Dallas when a mutual client introduced Fox Rothschild to David & Goodman.

Silow expects the merger to boost the firm's real estate, energy, employment litigation and intellectual property practice areas, among others.

David & Goodman founder Clinton J. David is the managing partner in Dallas.
