On January 1, 2015, E-Verify will delete all transactions more than 10 years old from their system.Accordingly, as of January 1, 2015, E-Verify users will no longer have access to E-Verify cases created prior to December 31, 2004.Employers that would like to retain a record of cases more than 10 years old should download the new Historic Records Report, which will include all transactions for cases over 10 years old created prior to December 31, 2004.

E-Verify recommends that employers retain the Historic Records Report with the Forms I-9, making note of the E-Verify case verification number on the corresponding Form I-9.If an employer was not using E-Verify prior to December 31, 2004, the employer does not need to download the report.E-Verify will continue to delete transaction records more than 10 years old on an annual basis and will make an announcement when the Historic Records Report becomes available for downloading for that particular year.
