A New York federal judge agreed to discontinue Thelen LLP trustee Yann Geron's clawback suit against another law firm after both parties notified the court that they had reached a settlement in the matter.
After being appointed trustee, Geron filed the suit against the other firm, which hired several former Thelen partners, alleging that a waiver adding language to the firm's partnership plan doing away with its right to any unfinished business was a fraudulent transfer because it deprived the partnership of its right to recoup earnings on unfinished business.
No details regarding the settlement have yet been disclosed.
