If so, we wish to make you aware that the Minister for Social Security is seeking your comments on a revised 'Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures' code of practice following the consultation on this recently undertaken by the Employment Forum.  Just to remind you, the purpose of this code of practice is to help employers and employees in businesses of all sizes to deal with matters relating to discipline and grievance in a fair and appropriate way.  The Employment (Jersey) Law 2003 enables the Minister to approve codes of practice, subject to certain requirements being met, including a requirement to consult stakeholders.

The Minister aims to ensure that any comments have been taken into account before he makes the code of practice under the Employment Law.

If you did not respond to the consultation undertaken by the Employment Forum, but have views on revision to the code of practice, then now is your opportunity to express these by making submissions to the Social Security Department. The details are on the website.
