A rise and permanent update of labor conciliator and conciliation fees was instated, along with the creation of the Professional Labor Conciliator Fee Unit.

Joint Resolution 2 – E/2016 issued by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, upon the request made by the Argentine and Mercosur Labor Conciliator Association, acknowledges that mediators must be granted an adequate remuneration regime.

This is why the Professional Labor Conciliator Fee Unit ("UHOCOL", after its Spanish acronym) was created,, whose value is equivalent to 12 Retributive Units of the National Public Employment System ("SINEP", after its Spanish acronym), equating the same criterion adopted for Mediators.

The Resolution demands the UHOCOLs's value to be published over the internet by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security along with the corresponding SINEP updates.

Furthermore, the fee for spontaneous agreements was increased by 5 UHOCOLs per worker that took part of the conciliatory agreement.

Regarding the Labor Conciliators' fees, the resolution established the basic fee value at 1 UHOCOL. If the Parties reach an agreement, said fees increase to the amount of 11 UHOCOLs.

Regarding the Labor Conciliators' yearly registration fee, it has also been increased to 10 UHOCOLs.

Finally, please note that the mentioned fees became effective as of November 25, 2016, and are applicable to claims initiated from said date, as to those undergoing procedure, and those that, being terminated, were requested to be reinitiated in order to subscribe an agreement.
