WorkSafe has recently released details on the number of workplace fatalities, broken down by industry, in the last five years. The figures show consistent progress in workplace safety, although there is still considerable room for improvement.
Notable results include the record of the Canterbury rebuild, with only one fatality, and the dramatic improvement in the forestry sector since 2013.
